Adam Skarsgard Esq., CPA - Principal
Adam is a California attorney, CPA (inactive), real estate broker and co-founder of Asset Exchange Company. Adam oversees all exchange services for Asset Exchange Company. He has taught accredited 1031 Exchange seminars in five states and has written numerous published articles on 1031 Exchange. Adam has also taught seven semesters at UC Berkeley Extension, including classes on real estate principles and real estate taxation.
Prior to co-founding Asset Exchange Company, Adam served as Vice President and National Sales Manager for a major national title company affiliated exchange company. During his tenure, Adam hired, trained and managed 17 regional 1031 Exchange managers in ten states,
nationwide. In a single year, Adam and his team facilitated over 2,000 exchange transactions, representing approximately $2.6 billion in exchange funds and lead the company to a 200% increase in profitability.
Adam previously worked as a sales manager for Prudential California Realty. He has worked for Grubb & Ellis in San Francisco and also as a real estate audit consultant at the accounting firm Price Waterhouse. During law school, Adam worked at The Modrall Law Firm in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Adam received a Bachelor of Arts degree from U.C. Santa Barbara. He received his Juris Doctorate from U.C. Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco, where he concentrated on real property law and business taxation.

Janelle McCulloch - Vice President
Janelle McCulloch has worked in the real estate industry for over a decade. Prior to joining Asset Exchange Company, Janelle worked as a loan closing officer for a Certified SBA Lender in San Francisco. In that position, Janelle managed and closed loans assigned to her. For such loans, she gathered closing figures, input closing information and generated loan documents. Her assigned tasks required communications with borrowers, title companies, escrow officers and real estate agents. After funding, Janelle was involved with preparing files for SBA audits.
Prior to her time working in real estate, Janelle worked as a computer lab consultant, event planner and office manager for an insurance company.

Janelle’s top skill is working with a team of people on a broad range of detailed tasks. Her skills are a perfect fit for exchange accommodation and Asset Exchange Company.
Janelle obtained her B.A. from San Francisco State University with a Major in Political Science and a minor in Criminal Justice. Janelle currently lives in San Francisco and enjoys attending San Francisco Giants games and bicycling.

Wendy serves as a Senior Exchange Officer for Asset Exchange Company. Her goal is to provide excellent service in a responsive, knowledgeable way. She keeps her clients informed at each step in the exchange process and with the help of their tax advisor, assists them in selecting the most suitable type of exchange for their individual needs. Prior to her experience working as an accommodator, she worked in escrow, both as an escrow officer and branch manager. This enables her to understand the entire closing process, not just the exchange piece.

Wendy Gallagher - Senior Exchange Officer
Max Huang serves as an exchange assistant for Asset Exchange Company. Before joining Asset Exchange Company, Max worked as an operations assistant for a real estate brokerage firm where he developed a core foundation of real estate principles and communication skills. In that position, he handled daily office operations, performed administrative duties and acted as the primary liaison between escrow companies and real estate agents.
Max is bilingual; besides English, he is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin. He believes that language is an excellent opportunity to widen his social circle and enhance social connections. He enjoys forging relationships with non-English speaking clients.
Max obtained his B.A. from San Francisco State University with a major in International Business. In his spare time, Max enjoys building model kits such as tanks and aircraft carriers. He also enjoys outdoor sports, and he loves to catch crabs at Pacifica Beach on the weekend.

Max Huang - Junior Exchange Officer
Patience is a native of San Jose, California, and grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. She later moved to the Sacramento area where she currently resides with her husband and children. Prior to joining Asset Exchange Company, Patience worked for 17 years as a residential real estate agent in multiple Northern California markets where she received multiple awards for her production and customer service.
Patience also has experience working in real estate finance and was an account executive at a large mortgage lender in Sacramento.
